Our Journey

- 1985: Launched Construction Equipment Development Division 

- 1987: Spun off Construction Equipment Division; Ulsan Plant 1 completed 

- 1991: Broke ground on Ulsan Plant 2; Established Chicago subsidiary 

- 1995: Founded European subsidiary and Chinese joint venture (Changzhou) 

- 2003: Established Jiangsu Hyundai joint venture in China 

- 2007: Launched Indian subsidiary 

- 2008: Completed Indian manufacturing plant; Established offices in Russia, Panama, and Dubai 

- 2010: HD HCE-NA moves from Chicago, IL to Atlanta, GA, tripling the size of the warehouse

- 2013: Completed Brazilian manufacturing plant 

- 2017: Established Hyundai Construction Equipment Co., Ltd. (spun off from Hyundai Heavy Industries) 

- 2020: Completed Yongin Technology Innovation Center; Expanded smart construction solutions 

- 2023: Hyundai purchases over 50 acres in Carnesville, GA for a product center

- 2024: Grand opening of HD Hyundai customization center in Brunswick, GA

- 2025: Completed Ulsan Campus Smart Factory, a turning point for future manufacturing

In 2025, we begin a new era in Ulsan. 

Our Ulsan Campus — a convergence of automation, precision quality systems, and future manufacturing technologies — 

marks a bold new starting point for HD Hyundai Construction Equipment.

More than just manufacturing, it is a space where we design a better life through technology.

- Production capacity expanded to over 15,000 units
