Hyundai and Develon Brands to Maintain Independent Dealer Networks, Parts and Service Structures in North America

HD Hyundai XiteSolution recently announced that it is merging its construction equipment divisions, effective Jan. 1, 2026, to form a new company, tentatively named HD Construction Equipment.

This merger will combine HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore, which currently manufacture and market the Hyundai and Develon brands of construction equipment, respectively. The Hyundai and Develon brands, which today operate in the United States and Canada through separate dealer networks, will continue to be sold and supported through distinct, independent dealer networks.

“Hyundai dealers and customers can be confident in the continuing strength of the Hyundai brand,” said Stan Park, CEO, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America. “This merger gives the Hyundai and Develon brands the full backing of a powerful global company that expects to exceed US$11 billion in sales by 2030.”

According to Park, Hyundai customers will benefit from competitive pricing afforded through the greater purchasing power of the newly merged company, along with more and faster product advancements driven through shared R&D resources, and a broadening lineup of products. The new entity is also planning to expand aftermarket services and engine development and sales.
