“We leased a Hyundai wheel loader to start over here because we had one in our other feedlot we had been running since I got out of high school. We purchased a Hyundai loader over there 12 to 14 years ago that we loved. We load feed in the morning and at night and use it to haul manure away. The onboard weighing scales that the have gives us the stability with the DNR (Dept. of Natural Resources) to weigh our manure because they want to know exactly what we have.
The accessibility of the equipment is very nice. When you climb in and out of the cab you don’t bang yourself up. It’s easy to get in and out of and the cab is very comfortable. The visiblity is very nice when you turn …it doesn’t beat you to death. The hydraulics going up and down are smooth. The feed trucks we use today are high. You need the extended reach of the wheel loader for feedlot,” said Dan Pedersen, Owner of North Pheasant Farms.
